Kashmir
by Frankie Banali, 2015

It’s no secret that artist/drummer Frankie Banali’s favorite drummer is John Bonham. And when it came time to focus on the creation of artwork built from rhythm, Banali selected two notable rhythms of Bonham to explore visually. For Kashmir, two simple colors are used within the deep pocket groove that resulted in the work. For many, upon review from a distance, the image of a skull and antlers appear from within the rhythm.
